Welcome to Hollywood Radiation Oncology

Hollywood Radiation Oncology is a state-of-the-art radiation treatment center exclusively owned and operated by University Radiation Oncology Associates. The facility, located in Hollywood, Florida, was opened in September 2001 as a site designed to utilize the most advanced radiation treatment technology available for cancer management.

Our center ranks among the first cancer clinics in the nation capable of delivering Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT). The IMRT technology is an ultra-precise method of focusing radiation beams to target tumor cells while minimizing harm to surrounding healthy tissues. The IMRT system is currently being used to treat prostate, head and neck, pancreas, brain and other cancers. In some cases, IMRT technology is further enhanced by combining the external treatment with High Dose Rate or Low Dose Rate internal brachytherapy.

The facility is the freestanding radiation therapy practice of Alfred Brandon, M.D. and Hoke Han, M.D. Prior to founding Hollywood Radiation Oncology, both physicians were faculty members of the University of Miami's Sylvester Cancer Center. Dr. Brandon and Dr. Han are both board certified in Radiation Oncology and are Diplomates of the American Board of Radiology.
